Legal Woes

I am so disappointed, disheartened and frustrated with the service provided within the legal arena. I initially contacted Mr Williams at the end of Oct 2020 to do enquiries about a legal matter. In early April 2021 I made a final decision to use the service of said attorney. To set up the first consultation, his employee emailed me about 5 times with the same request. I brought this to Mr Williams' attention during the consultation as a concern since there is a fee charged for every bit of communication. He said he would speak to the employee who sent the emails accordingly. Between May & Aug 2021 I submitted documents that were required and requested of me within respectable time frames. After I submitted documents on 13 Aug 2021 I requested a progress update on 27 Sept 2021, 3 Aug 2022 and 14 Aug 2022 all to no avail. Since 21 Oct 2024 I have been trying to get an update from the attorney's office without success. I was told that Mr Williams would draw my file and call me on 5 Nov 2024 at my preferred time. This has NOT happened. When I called the office, the receptionist said I have to email the request for the update I have been trying to get since September 2021. I expressed my frustration as there is a cost involved for each communication requesting identical update, but no feedback to date. Is this the norm? Costs run up just by requesting update on repeat with no response? I am so disappointed!!! Are there any legal practitioners still willing to fight for justice and the underdog without squeezing the lifeblood out of them? Are they now going to say rates have increased 4 years down the line when my email requests in 2021 and 2022 went unanswered????
