putco refuses to pay for damages to my car

The driver of the Putco bus, reg number ZDR038GP, knocked the rear right end of my car. He was approaching my direction in the oncoming lane at high speed at a very narrow road that was full of parked cars on either end as there was a wedding. I stood still so he could pass as the road was narrow and we wouldn't have both passed at the same time even though we were driving in opposite directions. I saw that he was too close to my car so I to swayed to the left to avoid being scratched and that was when my rear end was knocked.<br> Putco is refusing to pay for the damages saying both parties must fix their own vehicles. how am I at fault if my rear end is knocked?
