Shocking product support and belief in their own product and manufacturing processes
My son Jordan signed a contract to play in England; Yorkshire Premier League for the summer of 2022. As a semi-pro sportsperson, one has to have 2 of everything in terms of equipment(minimum) in care of a product failure whilst performing his duties in the team. He purchase 2 x PUMA 19.1 Bowling Men's Cricket Shoes in the same month, one from a retailer and one from Puma online in February in preparation for his tour to England. He was using Adidas at the time but Adidas was out of stock at the time and the next best according to reviews was PUMA. Whilst in England his Adidas gave up after +/- 180 and he put on the 1st of the Puma's in July which lasted 20 odd overs before the spike pulled away from the sole. He took out the other pair and bowled all but 9 overs and the same thing happened. Well - turns out PUMA do not base their warranty of their products through their engineering and design but the time and date stamp of the invoice the customer purchased the item(in this cast February 2022)! I have never heard of such ******* and pitiful belief in ones own products. There is clearly a flaw with 2 out of 2 shoes failing in the same area and very soon after initial use but that type of valuable product information will never go back to the engineer and design teams because of a completely flawed and irrelevant returns policy. Shame on you PUMA. absolutely shocking that an International brand can have such little regard for it's own products it sells to the uniformed consumer.
