Disappointment at misrepresentation of good sold

My boyfriend recently purchased a Puma handbag from the Puma Store in Cresta at the World Wear Centre on 11/08/2015. I have not even had the bag for a month and the bag zip's have been turning colour from silver to bronze. I went to the store today 11/08/2015 to return the bag and get a new one only to be told that the bags are not authentic and the zips will all turn that colour. This is a clear misrepresentation as the stores are charging the Puma price for inferior non-authentic goods which is unfair to the consumer. It also infringes on the right of the consumer as they are under the impression that they are getting puma goods and paying for it when in fact it is not and is inferior in quality.
