Delayed reversed funds

I went to return a pair of shoes as it wasn’t comfortable and couldn’t get another fitting size so they had to refund me R1100 on Thursday but until today it hasn’t cleared,I’m so ****ed because I need to use the money,what’s the holdup and why couldn’t they just give me cash?
