I stayed in Elmers end.
I would give a Negative star rating but there is no such option
1. Everything kept breaking and kept needing to be fixed. 2. Trish refuses to answer her phone over weekends and after half past 3 during the week. so needless to say when things broke over the weekend like the pipe that feeds water to the cistern i had to wait till monday to speak to her. meaning my bedroom floor was flooded on more than one occasion 3. When i moved out there was an exit inspection done where all the lights were turned on and i was told by Trish that if the globes don't work i will need to replace them and it will be coming off my deposit. she refused to do the inspection after 16:00 in the afternoon cos like i mentioned half of the time she doesn't answer the phone or refuses to after half past 3. 4. Trish told me that after exit inspection it would be 14 working days till the deposit was paid back to me. which by the way contradicts the law which says days not working days. 5. when i phoned Lindi earlier this morning i was told another different story. keep in mind that we are at day 19(working days since i moved out). she then said its 14 days from the start of the 1st. which means the second verbal contract was broken (according to law if something is said a verbal contract is being entered which at that point supersedes other contracts because it is the latest).
This has been the worst apartment building i have ever stayed in, even worse than that of m&t managed by Pretor.
There is no professionalism from your company. I will never stay in Properties managed by you again
Dear Mr Louwies
According to our maintenance and repairs records, plumbing problems in your bathroom were reported on 3 occasions. No other issues were reported. The last time that this problem was attended to was on Saturday, the 16th of December 2017 (public holiday). This is evident from the job card that was signed off by yourself on the 16th of December. It is therefore unclear why you would state that you had to wait until the Monday for the problem to be resolved.
It is unclear as to why you did not call Lindi or Kelly when Trish was unavailable or unable to answer your calls. Their contact details were communicated to all tenants in writing and via sms. The lessor's call centre number is also reflected on your lease agreement.
For the outgoing inspection, Trish could unfortunately not accommodate you by conducting the inspection at 20:00 as per your request, as her working hours ended at 16:00. She was however able to conduct the inspection at 15:00 on Friday the 26th of January 2018.
Clause 6.5 of your lease states that the deposit plus interest shall be refunded within 14 business days from the date of expiration of your lease, less any amounts due and owing in terms of the lease and less any amounts utilised for repairs to the premises. Your lease expired on the 31st of January 2018 and your net deposit was refunded on the 15th of February 2018.
For a detailed breakdown of your deposit refund or any further assistance or information, please send an email to *** (Att: Legal Advisor).
Best regards,
