The worst rental company ever

Pulse is the worst rental company ever. 4 months after I moved out they tell me I owe them over R6000 for maintenance and damages.

When me and my mom moved out we had inspectors come into the place who said everything was fine. 4 months later I get the rudest sms from their employee Dianne who even goes as far as ending the call while I'm on the line with her.

I told her I want pictures of the property before and after my mom and I moved in and out but instead of receiving those, I got an Sms saying they would black list me for the R6000. When I called the office, I got a breakdown of this alleged R6000.

Part of it is water charges from March 2020. My mom and I had stopped living at that place towards the end of March 2020. There is no reason for our water bill for March, April and May to be R800 respectively.

It was lockdown and we lived at my brother's place.

I want to know how the water bill is calculated and why it took them 4 months to bill me for water I allegedly used in March when they debited my account every month.

I will be taking this to the NCR and the Ombudsman as well as the media.

I want this company exposed for its ****gery.

Total costs for repairs & painting was R8435. You were only charged R2730.
Keys were only returned on 3 June and you remained liable for water calculated on participation quota basis until then. We waived rental for June, despite short notice.
Our legal dept will send you a detailed email response.
