Ridiculous Water Bills - St Ives

We have livedin one of your Johannesburg apartments (St Ives) for 11 years and have always had only good things to say about Pulse in terms of service.

I have since a few months ago received extremely high water bills of which I have queried repeatedly to no response or only twice received what appears to be a standard response not actually dealing with my query.

My December 2019 water bill was R634.21 for the period of ***

From December 2019 the water bill to date is 6 times more, I have written emails and via telephone spoke to different pulse employees only to be told that they don’t deal with water bills.

I have for the last 2 months only paid rent to get my voice heard and someone to take me serious but in stead I was presented with a final demand there after eviction notice. In all my emails I sent in this regard I only received two replies of the same nature saying the water is billed according to unit sizes as we don’t have individual water meters. The installation of individual unit water meters has just been completed of which I’m very happy about. Our unit has been completed on the 25 August. This is a huge difference to the amounts I have been getting lately.

All I want is for someone to look into this matter and realize these amounts are not possible for a month period and some periods above are only two weeks.

We have exhausted all options so hopefully this platform will assist to help us make sense of this outrageous water bills.
