HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at Elmers End
Elmer's End - unit 182
I would like to warn people against moving into Elmer's End complex situated on Boxer street in Northriding. Below are our experiences with Pulse living and property manager (Trish Kgwete)
1. When we moved in they were a few issues with the state of the unit. Some of those issues are still not sorted out 7 months later.
2. HOT WATER ISSUES - firstly every week without fail, we experience issues with hot water, its either we dont have hot water for most of the day or the water is luke warm (Summer and Winter). There is a company that is here almost every week fixing either burst pipes or the communal boiler. Sms's of no hot water are not sent timously to warn people in advance. Several times we have received sms's after hot water has already been cut. So what I'm saying is if you appreciate hot water, this is NOT the complex to move into.
3. Trish Kgwete (property manager) Dont get me started on this woman. Undoubtedly thee most unprofessional and rudest employee of Pulse Living. This woman takes forever to respond to queries. You have to constantly chase her for any sort of feedback or information. Recently had an issue with the billing of hot water and before I could even explain the issue she was talking over me and telling me how I would have to pay that bill without even investigating the matter. What they dont realise is that we know that everytime we have a burst pipe, we as tenants pay for that water loss from the burst pipe.
4. Pulse living ( Cape Town head office) These people are talented at not responding to emails however very quick to call about unallocated payments. We sent an email to accounts 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting on a response from them.
5. Security in the complex During lockdown level 5 and 4, when other complexes had strict rules with regards to no visitors allowed into complexes, this complex (Elmer's End) was a free for all. Visitors were allowed entry into the complex. Security does not record who comes in and out of the complex. Half the time security guards and hanging out with tenants.
6. We are vacating the premises month end (June 2020). According to their lease we are meant to give then 20 days for them to advertise since we are cancelling our 1 year lease. It is the 18th of June today and when we asked the property manager ( Trish Kgwete) she said it's been advertised however we checked the websites she mentioned and it doesnt appear to be advertised. So it's either Pulse living is not advertising the property in that way you are liable for 2 months rental.
7. Overall a horrible experience with Pulse living and alongside the property manager ( Trish Kgwete). I would not recommend this place to anyone.
