Disputed bill
<p>In 2012, I left the Bertia flat, under Pulse Living with a 14 day notice given to me by Mr Micheal who managed the falt. He wrote on the notice that that no amount was payable since he was the one terminating the contract. I left before the end of the 14 day notice. In January 2014, I started receiving calls from a company called , DMC, which claimed that I owed Bertia. I requested statement to see what the amount was for. They promised to contact Mr Micheal and call me. Again in October 2014 they called again. I explained to them that I dont owe Bertia and they promised to get back to me after they recived relevant information. They never came back to me. Until April 2016 when I saw that this is affecting my credit record. I lost job opportunities because of this as they said my credit record is not good. I mean, I further called Pulse, spoke to Mr Martin who promised to call me back after he received information. To this day he never called again. Pulse must remove this record. I dont owe them. Your lease agreement was terminated in June 2012, as your rental was in arrears and you failed to bring your account up to date. You were given a notice of cancellation and notice to vacate.
We deny your allegation that Michael informed you that you would not be liable for the outstanding rental and you are required to provide proof thereof.
The outstanding amount on your rental account was handed over for collection to Debt Management Consultants (DMC) in August 2013.
Mr Martin Pike confirms that he received a call from you earlier this year, that you informed him that you would be visiting Bloemfontein in the near future and that you would be visiting his office to discuss your account with him. He retrieved your file, but never heard from you again.
Kindly make the necessary arrangements for payment of the outstanding amount directly with DMC. They should have all your account information at hand. Should they require further information, they will contact our offices and we will gladly assist.
