PSM ****MED US - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Freedom talks big and makes promises but doesn't deliver. He refuses to take responsibility, offers excuses and is utterly unprofessional in his conduct.

We hired PSM for a 4-day rewiring job. We paid for all the materials and 50% labour up front. This turned into a 14+day job with less than two full days' time spent on site. When they pitched, it was after 11h00, but more often, they didn't pitch at all. Excuses for their tardiness and dereliction ranged from car broke down, wife in labour, crew not pitching, running out of petrol money, load shedding/power outages, to a CoJ ad-hoc call-out taking precedence. These excuses were offered at day's end, after we made numerous calls and sent many messages that remained unanswered. We offered to arrange a generator at our own expense but they wouldn't pitch on site to use it.

We gave them a second change after Freedom's emphatic promise to pitch and finish the work, but was met with another excuse well into the day. We terminated the contract and it was agreed that they would refund us money paid for material not delivered, which they've also since reneged on. We are considering laying a charge at SAPS of Theft under False Pretenses.

Freedom claims that 80% of work is completed, but two certified and independent contractors confirmed that work is substandard, uncertifiable and less than 50% complete.

We've lost 3 weeks and R 25K on our renovations due to PSM's shoddy work, and will have to re-supply materials and re-do all the work to legislated electrical standards.

We would absolutely not recommend PSM, and suggest they be avoided at all costs.
