Lack of basic CRM

Unfortunately, there is no option to allocate zero starts.

In May of this year I purchased a Mecer 2400va UPS / Inverter as well as 2 Toyo 12v Gel Batteries. Was told verbally that it has a one-year guarantee. It worked perfectly until end of August (that is 4 months). The Mecer inverter never indicated less than 50% discharge on batteries after 2-hour load shedding and load on inverter was never more than 25%

All of a sudden, the batteries worked less than an hour and then died / inverter switched off. I ran my TV, fibre router, Openview decoder, laptop and 2 energy saver lights off the system and nothing else.

I took the batteries back to Proton, Richard prepared a job card and promised to call me after 2 days and this is how my problems started.

It is basically impossible to get through to them on the phone and then they never return calls. They put you on hold and never come back to you. I suspect they leave their phone off the hook so that clients cannot get through. I am being told a range of different stories ranging between "the batteries are faulty and we will replace them" to the "batteries are still at their supplier" to random T's and C's which I have not seen nor signed.

This business seriously lack very basis CRM skills. In case you do not know what, this means, it is Customer Relation Management. They obviously lie, tell half-truths and simply do not care one iota about their after sales service.

Proton Solar, the big wheel is turning, you might be doing ok now during the load shedding but times will change and then you will directly feel the impact and pay the price of your utter lack of customer care.

Doing a little research on the net shows there are lot of similar angry Proton Solar customers with all of them having the same issues.

Do the right thing and replace or refund these 2 batteries on an urgent basis.

I would urge all potential clients to rather not buy from these people. There are plenty other reputable companies that sell the same if not better-quality products. You will NOT get good after sales service from Proton Solar.

Lastly, I even wanted to buy another system from them for my Mom. Still waiting for Richard to email me a quote. I would obviously now not buy from Proton Solar.
