Very Angry Customer
Again this morning on the 17th of July I’m being told I only have 55k remaining when I had topped up R400 on the 6th of July just last week Monday, see below mail.
Please note alone in June, I spent R1 500 and now within the Month of July I’m being asked to upload more. In April and May I spent R1 000 separately. In March I spent R500 for 23 days (see below breakdown). I’ve only spent 357kwh and now I’m being alerted my consumption is finished.
How is this even fair and practical, Protea meter is doing something is not right here and as a customer who is trying to make the little stretch during these times, I’m suffering.

You are not taking into account that your payments covers electricity, transaction costs as well as overdue water accounts. You are not paying your water account which means that for some transactions a portion gets deducted for overdue water. The amounts that you have quoted is not correct. We will send you a break down in private email.
The transaction on 6 July gave you electricity for R390.50 after the transaction fee was deducted. You still have 55 kWh left which means that the R390.50 lasted you about 2 weeks that means you have done very good, taking into consideration the latest Council tariff increase is already in place.
You should be aware that only the residents of the household have control over how electricity and water is consumed.
Kind regards

17 Jul 2020, 17:07My water account is currently at 52,33 for June that doesn't explain the frequency of top ups , your network charge every time I top up is 8,26, why I get charged for that, I don't understand.
26 June I topped up 500 lasted me until 6 July, a total of 11 days , really. 6 July topped up again now it will finish on 20th July for 15 days, how does that even work. In June alone I topped up 3 times (2nd, 17th, 26th) paid 1500 in total in that month.
