Unreal -only in SA
If I could score a minus I would. Really not worth it. Complexes should not use them.. It is difficult to use, register etc.. I just bought electricity and was charged R5 per unit. Unreal. How can they still operate!!!! WOW . Since day one we battled, that was in January 2024. If I new this complex used this system with Protea metering, It would be enough for me not to rent at 56Rissik. Lovely complex but this Protea meter is giving it a bad name. Bad Bad experience. Its a battle.

You have neglected to consider the fixed charge of R103.67 (excluding VAT) that forms part of the JB Marx promulgated tariffs. The amount is raised along with the first 50 kWh for each month. The first 50 kWh are therefore coming at the cost of R3.6355 per kWh (excluding VAT) to include the kWh cost as well as 1/50 of the fixed charge.
The next 300 kWh is at the tariff of R1.9977, the next 250 kWh is R2.8203 etc - all according to the IBT of Council's promulgated tariff structure.
