Unexplained high rates

I stayed at Grand central for less then a year and our bill fluctuated from R60 to R21000, when we asked question no one gave us a proper answer instead the ridiculous amount went away. We were then forced to move out before our lease expired due to the increasing high rates and taxes we started paying, from R60 to 580, even R700. I requested someone to come and check if there were any leakages, but they all ignored my requests,( rental pros and protea- Troy). We moved out in October, then rental pros only sent us a cancellation form now in January, two days after canceling with protea metering we recieved a bill of R3000 for the month of November and December. The flat is still vacant, and there is no usage there where does this amount come from?

When we tried to enquire a guy named Troy from protea sent us a final demand letter. Final demand within a day and no explanation? Is this really how you do business?

At the rate protea and rental pros are going almost everyone I know are trying to avoid staying in their properties.

Good day Nonkululeko

We could not find an account in Grand Central that is registered in your name.  Kindly forward an email to our info email address providing the unit number or account number to enable us to investigate the account.  Please mark the email for the attention of the relevant Portfolio Manager.

Kindly note that Protea Metering is not responsible for maintenance - we merely record the actual readings that are reflective of your actual consumption and we process invoices accordingly.  Neither the Managing agent nor the Readings Company determines the tariffs.  Tariffs for water and electricity are set by the local municipality and electricity tariffs are approved by NERSA.

Kind regards
