Unable to track payment
On the 19th July 2015 I made a payment of R200 via mobile banking for electricity consumption. Taking into account that this was an EFT payment, I assumed that the payment to my electricity account would reflect after 2 - 3 days or so. To my dismay and after an entire month of endless email correspondence, telephone calls and visiting my bank for statements, Protea Metering is still unable to find/confirm the payment that I made.

Today (i.e. 27/08/2015) I received confirmation that the funds were indeed transferred into Protea Metering's FNB account on the 20 July, yet they are still giving me the run a round and request for information that I have already provided via email correspondence to a number of individuals at Protea Metering.

The service is absolutely appalling and this is a clear indication that they do not value their customers. I will certainly not be victimised by what I would consider as theft.

To make matters worse, the call centre agent that I spoke with today was unable to transfer me to her leader. Bringing up all sorts of lame excuses and then eventually dropping the phone in my hear. Words cannot describe the absolute disappointment in this company.
With the information that you have provided, we have done our best to assist and politely asked for the proof of payment that makes it possible to track down the payment.
It was allocated and you have received an electricity voucher for the amount.
Using words like \theft\" and \"victimised\" is therefore regarded to be unfounded.
