Terrible Service

www.oami.co.za is not accurate, I spoke to Patience and she said that they need to collect meter readings manually from our units hence the system is not accurate. One consultant once said to me the system is updating daily and it works like a prepaid. who's fooling who?

27/07/2020 I paid R500 04/08/2020 I paid R300 10/08/2020 I paid R300 13/08/2020 I receive an email stating that I need to pay R600…. only Protea metering knows how the OAMI system works. The Oami system is useless because you can pay now and be on a minus now, it is clear that this system it manipulated. In a month I usually spend R1200,00 my neighbor spend R500 to R600, The amount above shows that within 13 days I have spend R1200 including the amount I need to pay today(13/08/2020), Its even useless to send emails to them cause one will receive those automatic email replies. at least we have a platform like Hellopeter.

This is the email below am talking about, it doesn't explain how I lost R300 within 3 days,
how I lost R1170 within 13 days.

Good Afternoon,
Trust you are well.
Please note that you have a Credit Wallet account, which means each day as you consume electricity and water, we read your meters and bill your usage on your account.
You make a purchase / top-up for a certain amount which is then in credit on your profile and each day as you consume electricity & water the rand value of your usage is then deducted from your remaining credit.
It is important for you to login and view your OAMI credit wallet on the website www.oami.co.za to view your exact usage of each type of utility : electricity, water and sewerage
On your OAMI profile via the website you can see your readings, the total usage for the current month as well as the rand value charged. Furthermore, you can go into each different meter to view your exact kWh usage or litres consumed. Select the options “water consumption” or “electricity consumption”, here you will be able to see your daily readings/ usage and you will be able to see if you have a possible water leak.
The mobile android app is only a platform to view your remaining credit and a summary of usage. The full view is available on the website.
