**** on electricity molware estate

I have never spent so much money on electricity in my life. From 1Nov 2019 to date i have spent enormours amount on electricity. When we moved in i tried buying electricity on my bank account...it showed -R20 outsdanding on the meter number, this amount never goes away no matter how much I'm buying.in aweek I buy electricity of about R300 and the kwh units are never the same, they always decrease from 75kwh-33,3khw in the same month.i have proof of this.

Meter number No: ***

This cant be normal. How do we deal with this? im seriously going to move out of that place, and i will never stay at a place that uses protea metering ever again. This must be some sort of ****! I pay way too much for electricity There is no one home during the day but i keep on running out of units! NO MORE! If you are considering opening an account here...DONT!!! RUN...RUN

Good day Botshelo
It is very difficult to provide detailed information without the account number or unit number, and the meter number that was unfortunately blocked out on this platform.

At your complex our services include collecting WATER and SEWER as well for the Body Corporate to enable them to settle the bulk water & sewer account.

If you do not make separate payments towards the water account, it gets deducted from electricity purchases as we have a contract with the Body Corporate under which we are obligated to collect the water and sewer funds as well.

Kindly note that the recording of readings does not at all have any influence on the registered consumption.  Only the residents of a household have control over how much electricity and water is consumed.  Also note  that consumption will unfortunately be higher now under lock down conditions.
It is now more that ever important for consumers to apply energy- and water saving measures to limit consumption as far as possible.  For useful tips in this regard, please visit our web page and view the energy saving tips that can be found under the SERVICES icon.
The promulgated electricity tariff is on an inclining block scale, meaning that the more you use per calendar month, the more expensive it becomes and that you will therefore get less kwh for the same amount in that calendar month.

The R20 does not get deducted from your amount - it is simply a message to inform consumers that it is not possible to do a transactions for less than R20.

Should you require a more detailed response where the consumption for your unit is evaluated, kindly forward an email to our info email address, boldly mark it for the attention of the Portfolio manager and we will communicate with you further in personal email - please include your account number and/or address.

We wish you and your family good health under the lock down circumstances.

Kind regards
