****

I bought electricity when I moved to Marshall Yards for R100 on the 31st of October 2020 as they claim it's prepaid, I don't cook the only thing I use for electricity is my fridge and TV the on Monday the 9th got an SMS that says I need to recharge which I did today is the 12th of November and I get another sms that says that I need to recharge as I have r18 on my account. How is that so is this not prepaid. I bought r100 electricity on Monday and today they say it's finishing. Is this a **** that Protea metering is running. How is this prepaid as I know prepaid you it's what you use. They can't tell me that for 2days I used r100 worth of electricity. I have been on prepaid ever since but this I haven't seen. Usually r100 electricity last me for 2weeks but for protea metering it last for 2days. How is that so? I feel like this is a **** that they are running to make money out of the people. This needs to be fixed urgently.

Good evening Dineo

You do not have a prepaid electricity meter.

You have a credit wallet account where your daily consumption of electricity and water gets deducted from the credit wallet account.

A Portfolio Manger will contact you to explain the account in detail, and to guide you on how to make use of the OAMI platform to monitor consumption, statements etc.

Kind regards
