**********! PROTEA METERING WILL SUCK OUT YOUR MONEY!!
My experience with protea metering has been the worst, those people know how to suck money out of people, i am hardly at the flat but will get ridiculously charged rates and made inquiries about it as i hardly cook nor at the flat and the only appliance that is plugged is a fridge.
Called in their offices after i made a request for prepaid meters (they needed to refund me my deposit money)but was handles like a YOYO and my emails were received by the blind/deaf ears! The only response id get was "kindly assist as per below" as i am being transferred to another person (because they take people for rides, we are their yoyos)
I got charged 1600 just for plugging a fridge through out the month a month before prepaid meter was installed so that they do not refund me.

The information that you have shared on this platform is false and your slanderous remarks totally unfounded.
You NEVER received an invoice for R 1 600 from us. The invoices that you received before the placement of the prepaid meter were for 171, 212, 135, 261 and 311 kwh respectively.
What you fail to mention is that already with the first payment on your account your debit order bounced, and that your account right from the start was always in arrears. Due to the constant arrears amount on you account you even had an outstanding balance after the deposit was credited. How do you expect to receive a refund? Please refer to the final invoice that you have received.
You also fail to mention that your account was selected for credit control action SEVERAL TIMES and that the related fee's were also charged. Even with these charges and the constant arrears amounts, your account never even reflected a total outstanding balance of R 1 600.
It would be wise to be more careful with what you put out on social media platforms to protect yourself from possible legal action due to your false allegations.
