Ridiculous rates

I dont even feel like 1 star is good enough the worst service ever with ridiculously high rates I am absolutely disgusted given the fact that everyone is recovering financially from this pendemic you are minipulating the situation to your advantage absolutely pathetic

So my story is so painful from the 28th of june up to date I have put over R2600 worth of lights and when I contacted the buildings agency they advised that it is alot and that I should call the company which I did and they told me it's winter and my consumption is more blah blah blah I am renting a 2 bedroom apartment for myself and my mother I am at work most of the time which leaves my mother alone at home which it is highly impossible for her to use that much.... Also it is a load of bull**** as I worked from home during level 5 from March till May and only went back to the office in June and I spent way less then this on electricity The agency even sent an electrician to inspect everything and there was no reason for the electricity to be so much I feel ripped of yesterday I loaded the last R200 I had in my account and today at 2pm I get an sms saying there's 32units left at this point I need an intervention with Cart blanch or 3rd degree or speak out as I'm now exhausted this needs to end... It's ridiculous. Still no way to load as I do have cash but they don't sell at Pnp

Good day Kirsh

The tariffs are not determined by us but you are charged according to promulgated Council tariffs were the annual increase for all services - electricity, water, sewer etc. took effect on the 1st of July.

It is indeed a fact that consumption of electricity is more during the cold winter months.  Only the residents of a household have control over how much electricity and water is consumed.
You also do not mention if your account is for electricity only or if it includes other services like water and sewer as well?
Are you registered on the OAMI platform and are you using this to monitor and manage your consumption?  This is a very helpful tool to for example pick up if there are any water leaks that may be a contributing factor to higher accounts.  Is a heater being used?

Without enough details to determine the address of your unit, we are not able to track your account on our system to check your consumption and give proper feedback.

Please contact our offices and ask for the Portfolio Manager to assist you with a detailed break down of your consumption.

Kind regards
