Protea Metering is the worse service provider
Protea Metering is the worst, if you recharge your account they take forever to update their systems. They are even worse than loadshedding because you pay for a prepaid service but they will take hours and sometimes days to update the account.. Yerrrrrr!!!!

It is exactly due to loadshedding that the signals are poor and updaing takes longer.
It is however still something that only the consumer can manage: at which point to make a top-up payment.
Never wait until you have run out of electricity. Always top up with sufficient electricity remaining to last for 12 to 24 hours to ensure that the payment is reflected and a voucher is issued before you run out. Kindly take control of the matter and manage it in such a way that you prevent the inconvenience - YOU heve the power.
