Protea Metering a **** company!
******** of note!!!!
I moved to the Waldorf in 2018, I was introduced to Protea Metering by Rental Pro. Both companies never said anything about me having to cancel directly with the other, so am I wrong for moving out and informing Rental Pro that I am moving out and thinking that they will inform Protea Metering about that move? I would think not! All the time I was renewing my contract with Rental Pro they never for once mentioned that if I am moving out I must cancel with Protea Metering and Protea Metering never for once mentioned this. This ********** behaviour because they want to keep billing you, what happens when the next person moves in and I didn't cancel? Who will be charged? Now you are charging me R400 fro refusing to pay R298?? Are you guys seriously serious? You are robbing people. They same way we are introduced to you by Rental Pro is the same way you should be dealing with Rental Pro should I move out. Why is it not stated in your invoice that should I move out I must contact your company for a cancellation form? Yet now when you have charged me you expect me to request a cancellation form a month after I have moved out?
Stop ******** people like this! Nothing good will come out of it. On top of it all you are putting me under pressure that my Christmas budget must be put on hold because I owe you? NO! Do better and stop robbing people!
How is it that I have a water bill of R289 when I was staying alone? You are so used to robbing the people of the Waldorf.
Can you kindly explain how we are supposed to know that you have moved out, and why we should deal with an entity that has not signed on for you unit?
You have signed 2 different contracts with 2 different entities for different services. It is only natural then to terminate your contract with each individually. And you would have not experienced any problems.
An agreement that you have entered into is binding until it is terminated - and that is your responsibility.

The same way you received news about me moving in is the same way YOU should receive news about me moving out. How was I to know that Rental Pro was not going to inform you that I am moving out? I know I signed two different contracts but I sent both to Rental Pro so is it not YOUR responsibility to ensure that Rental Pro gives me a cancellation form as well when I am moving out from them?
Fix your communication structure with Rental Pro and found a way of working without conning people who are unaware of such business practices by YOURSELVES and Rental Pro.
YOU should make it your problem that tenant communicates with YOU as well when moving in so they can communicate with YOU when moving out. So you are as much responsible for this situation that we are facing and I informed you that you must charge me for the 09-Oct-19 to the 26-Oct-19 and I will gladly pay that water bill but anything after I have moved out is your responsibility with Rental Pro.

It does not work like that. According to Council bylaws a client has the responsibility to terminate the account once they move out. So neither us nor yourself can simply choose how we want to handle it - the law says it is the consumer's responsibility.

Many people get themselves informed of how to terminate an account, and if they don't know the procedures they contact us and ask. And they do not regard paying what they have used as being conned.
The ones who move out and keep quiet are usually those who owe money.
Although you have not consumed monthly in R50's you are welcome to contact our office to get a proper payment arrangement in place to pay in R50's. Communication on this platform is regarded to be finalized.
