Poor service from Protea Metering

I am writing to raise a serious and urgent complaint regarding the continued lack of electricity in my unit at Tradewinds Apartments. I have been without power for several days, despite purchasing electricity. Even more concerning, the units I purchase are being rapidly depleted, yet no power is being supp**** to my unit.

I have tried multiple times to contact Protea Metering at their listed number, but I have received no response, no update, and no technician visit. This has resulted in significant inconvenience, including the loss of food due to spoilage, and continued uncer*****y about when this issue will be resolved.

This is not the first time I have reported problems with Protea Metering. Since I moved into the complex, I have experienced repeated issues and have raised concerns about their unprofessional and unreliable service. I have also previously requested a meter download and assessment, but no one has attended to this request either.

I respectfully request that your office urgently reviews the contract with Protea Metering. Their lack of service is unacceptable, especially when tenants are expected to continue paying rent while being denied basic services like electricity. Alternative providers like RMS Metering and PEC Utility have significantly better reputations and service standards.

To add to my frustration, purchasing R500 worth of electricity only lasts a day, with no explanation, despite having no power in the unit. This is completely unacceptable and needs urgent investigation.

Please treat this matter with priority and provide a clear update on:

1. When the power issue will be resolved;

2. When a technician will be sent to assess the meter;

3. Whether the continued use of Protea Metering is being reviewed, considering these repeated failures.
