****my Practices
These guys are seriously shady, received an invoice from them today, suddenly there is an outstanding amount added to my account for a different month, their tariffs also look very shady since we paid more this month with less people using electricity in the house. Also when you call them, you spend half your life waiting for someone to even answer the call.

Thank you very much, the cost issue is referring to the amount of units used as well since the KW used is somehow higher going down from 6 people to 2 people in the house which begs the question, how is the cost suddenly higher with no increases since April.
Excluding that I am unable to see the usage for the month on your site at all.
With Regards

Kindly note that your Body Corporate did not opt for smart online metering, where the daily readings and -consumption can be monitored. Your consumption is metered via a conventional, postpaid meter.
Also please note that the mere recording of the readings does not enable us to have any influence on how much electricity is being consumed - this factor is controlled solely by the residents of a household. Th recording of the monthly reading also does not enable us to explain how the electricity was consumed, as only the residents of the household are involved with that.
How many residents per household, when they are at home, what appliances are used or the habits of the residents are unknown factors that are not considered for the purpose of charging out the electricity consumption, because there is a meter that is measuring the actual consumption.
For correct billing, the following factors must be in place:
The meter must be functioning properly.
The correct meter that supplies your unit with electricity must reflect on the invoice.
The correct reading must be recorded.
The correct tariff must be app****.
We confirm that the above factors are indeed in place.
Below is a short summary of your consumption since inception:
| Month | Start Read | End Read | kWh Consumed | Start Date | End Date | No of Days | Average per day
May 2026 77398 77674 276 23/04/2026 22/05/2026 29 9.5
June 2026 77674 78017 343 22/05/2026 22/06/2026 31 11.1
July 2026 78017 78446 429 22/06/2026 21/07/2026 29 14.8
Áug 2026 78446 78910 464 21/07/2026 24/08/2026 34 13.6
We can see the normal escalation of consumption for the colder periods. When you inspect your consumption figures for the previous winter seasons you may very well find the same pattern recurring.
The consumption figures do not raise any concerns and is well within normal parameters. You are however free to contact our offices for the procedures around having the reading confirmed, or the meter tested.
Kind regards,
