Move out!
Do NOT move into a property under protea metering. I stay in an estate that recently included a smart meter system and what a disaster! How on earth does a charge of X turn into triple the amount! No one can tell me why I still don’t have power, why I get switched off, why am I overcharged, why am I paying for things that I’m clearly not liable for as a tenant, lack of communication, it’s been 2 months and still haven’t been refunded for apparently paying for SOMEONE ELSES BILL. So if you’re looking for a place to rent/buy, stay clear of those under Protea Metering.
