Exorbitant rates billed by Prote Metering
My last invoice period ended on Tuesday 6th June, however I'm shocked to find out I have been charged R332 for the period since invoice. I mean I am being charged R332 for 4 days of electricity? Come on guys let's be serious. My consumption from the 7th June until today is 66kwh, which should be a charge of R130. Please credit the difference urgently.

Kindly note that your account is not for electricity only. It also includes water , sewer & fixed charges.
The amounts reflected on your OAMI profile is reflective of your actual consumption.
To date you have consumed 255 kwh of electricity and 4 kl of water.
The total amount used thus far since the previous invoice is R630.76 and it includes the fixed charges that are billed daily.
Payments received since the last invoice totals R405.
If we compare the consumption thus far to the previous invoice period all seems to be in line.
The totals for the previous period are as follows:
Electricity = 349 kwh; Water = 12 kl; Total amount consumed = R951.38
According to the current rate of actual consumption, the predicted figures for this month is 480 kwh of electricity and 12.8 kl of water.
The prediction shows an increase in electricity consumption that is normal for the cold winter months. The main contributors are the geyser that uses more electricity, as well as the fact that lights are used for more hours per day than in summer.
Please log on to the OAMI profile where you are able to download the daily readings for both electricity and water. You can also view the full account statement, daily consumption figures, consumption since last invoice, expected/predicted consumption for the month etc.

21 Jun 2022, 16:10It is not true that I had consumed 255kWH thus far. According to readings on your website, I have consumed 181.35kWH from the the 7th of June until the 17th of June. Seems like you are reading a different set of readings from me which is even more concerning. Please just sort it out and credit my account the difference.
