DISGUSTING PATHETIC SERVICE OF ******
Protea metering they are **** street company, that take money from poor people to benefit their own pockets. I am so done with this people only a month into my new house, I don't need this people in my life. I RATHER STICK WITH CITY OF TSHWANE

Every household is metered individually and everybody is paying for their own consumption. The tariffs that you are paying is the CITY OF TSHWANE's promulgated, NERSA approved tariffs. The funds collected are used to pay the Tshwane bulk account, they do not provide the electricity for free and you would have paid exactly the same tariff if you were a direct client of theirs.
Electricity has unfortunately become expensive and the next tariff increase from Tshwane is expected to take effect on 01 July 2021. The need for applying energy saving measures has become more urgent than ever.
Please contact our offices to obtain a copy of the promulgated tariffs and the energy saving tips that may be useful.
