CAN COMPANIES PLEASE INVESTIGATE PROTEA METERING
Protea metering has made life unbearable for me. I buy 150 electricity every second day. I bought electricity on Sunday which disappeared into thin air. Recharged again Yesterday and as we speak it's running low. I have used prepaid meters before and never in my life have I ever come across anything like this. Worse part we just buy electricity and have no control of what happens next because everything is controlled on their side. The moment you top up, a large amount of units is deducted from your purchase with no proper explaination on their side. Worse part, even on times when we are not home, with no electricity or water being used - their meter keeps running and deducting for what only God knows when we are away on vacation. Their electricity app glitches and displays false data something which they themselves fail to explain - all you will ever get from them is: "we can't control the graph readings on the app". How does electricity drain when no one is home?! Who's using it?! People, please believe all the bad reviews written against Protea metering!!! DO NOT USE PROTEA METERING EVEN IF IT WAS THE LAST SERVICE PROVIDER ON EARTH - THE REVIEWS DONT LIE!!!
Unfortunately there is nothing that we can do about the promulgated tariffs. There is no special tariff established by the City of Tshwane for your complex - you are paying the same as all other Tshwane residents.

The average daily amount is R46.40 and that is the amount that you have to budget for to use the electricity and water that you are consuming.
To conclude:
- The consumption is determined by you the consumer.
- The tariffs are determined by Tshwane City Council.
There is no mistake with the charges and there is nothing that we can change on the account. You may consider contesting the promulgated tariffs on a different platform.
