Absolutely Nonsense Process
What a nightmare!!! So their prepaid electricity is so inconsistent it usually reflects immediately when purchased from fnb but today I purchased electricity at 7:41 currently (past 9pm) and it hasn't reflected. When I call the after hour number and sent the proof of payment still told they can't help and the cut off is 9pm to help people. Had to submit a report at work but missed the deadline thanks to your stupid process. Prepaid electricity should reflect when you purchase it maximum should be 15 minutes not this nonsense. I am absolutely annoyed at this inconvenience.

The reality is that the cell phone signals which are used for transmission, gets affected by factors like load shedding - something that we unfortunately do not have any control over.
It is however possible to manage purchases in such a manner that top-up payments are made while there are still sufficient credits to last at least for 24 hours. It is not wise to top up only when depleted, or almost depleted.
Kind regards
