Unable to sleep due to outside light & road noise

I spent a night at the fire & ice Protea hotel, on arrival I was supposedly upgraded to a room which was tiny. But that was'nt the main issue. Once I climbed into bed, I realised there were no blackout curtains just blinds which let in the lights from outside. The other issue is even when I'd closed all windows you could hear every single car passing by on the main road which the hotel faces. <br> <br> The hotel looks great they've spent millions upgrading but the main reason people stay there is for rest & relaxation. You want a decent size room for comfort which was not the case, there were no blackout curtains for the lights comming from the outside & more importantly you would think with the proximity to the main road they should have proper noise insulation from outside noises.<br> <br> I did'nt sleep the entire night with the blaring lights from outside, when morning came it was even worst with the sun out & the noise from all the cars etc on the main road. I was tempted to just go home & sleep but it was too late already.<br> <br> Service, food & entertainment was good though but just do'nt book in to sleep there as it's too noisy & too much light from the outside so no sleep...<br> <br> <br> <br>
