******* AND BAD SERVICE!

We once booked for a 2 night stay at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice in Menlyn. We went to chill downstairs by the bar and everything was cool until we went to the bar to pay our bill and it was 3x the amount. When we realized that it didn’t make sense and asked to see the bill, they apologized and said they had made a mistake. The bill was R1000 less than what they had said it was without giving us the receipt.

Again, on 20 December 2019, I went with friends for some sundowners. Everything was going well and we had the first bill covered till we decided to open another tab and order a round each. The waiter on that night, Johannes as his name tag said, forgot about our order and we had to go look for him and remind him. He told us to go place the order ourselves by the bar cause he had forgotten what we had ordered. After we did that, he came back with our drinks and still had a few specifics missing. We asked him to fix the order and he spilled the drinks all over. He came back with the correct order this time around and when the bill came, it was 2x what it had to be. The barman on that night, Vivian, said we had ordered the wrong drinks and that it was our fault. We went as far as asking for management and were told management was not there. Johannes and Vivian eventually walked out on us. When we were supposed to leave, they called in security on us saying that we were refusing to pay our bill. We decided to just pay the ******* amount that was on our bill so we could just leave and never see that place again!

I am highly disappointed and will certainly never set foot at any of your hotels every again!
