Protea Menlyn, Fire & Ice staff are *******!

I had visited Protea Manly, Fire & Ice in winter of 2023 for a days stay with my partner. He had initially made the booking and reservation for us. I had mistakenly forgotten a pair of sneakers when I left the establishment which was then followed up with a call and I was reassured by the staff that my shoes were found and booked into Lost and found. I had then contacted their staff again to advise I will be headed to Pretoria from Johannesburg to collect my items. When I had arrived, after more than an hours wait, I was advised that my items were no longer in the Lost and found room but there is record of it being booked. The staff member was apparently sick that handled all of this. It's been months now that I have been speaking to the Rooms Division manager, Nicole Spade and all other staff members promising resolution. They have asked for pictures of the items but yet I am still awaiting feedback on the finality of this matter. It is clear to me that this matter is being avoided as they are protecting one of their own - We can no longer trust our own establishments for safe keeping or protocol be followed to allow due course
