Protea Hotel Malaga (Waterval-Boven)

<p>Last month, June, my wife and I recently took a break in the Kruger Park (from Cape Town) and decided to break our trip back to OR Thambo airport by staying 2 nights at Protea Hotel Malaga. Well, what a delightful experience!</p> <p>Our room was exceptionally clean (recently refurbished) and the service was top class. Management is hands-on and the staff are amoungst the friendliest we've encountered in South Africa. The hotel is well equiped as a family break-away or like we did, a place just to get away from it all.</p> <p>The food is fairly basic but well prepared, tastefull, fresh and just enough of a variety to not get bored with. The dining room itself is quaint and even though there was a marathon being run that weekend from the hotel, the service standard never dropped at all</p> <p>What a gem this is tucked away in Mpumalanga and really!</p> <p>5 stars to the management team and staff and we will be back.</p>
