Poor, in fact no, communication from Protea Hotels
I am a Pro-Kard holder, usually very satisfied with service from Protea Hotels, but I am unhappy about two recent experiences relating to my stay at Protea Hotel Karridene. Firstly, I booked 2 nights by stay 1 get 1 free, and, because we wanted 3 nights, I had to book another single night. I sent an email to reservations-HP2v ********** ********** "With reference to my reservations ********** 0 and ********** 6, please note that I was using a ProKard discount, meaning that I could not book the three nights I needed. This means that I made two separate bookings. Please would you ensure that they are linked and that we remain in the same room for the three nights in question." When we arrived we were booked into separate rooms for the two bookings and we had to wait quite a while for a new room to be sorted, luckily for us one could be. What happened to my email.
When we got home I discovered that I was missiving a hard drive which had come out my bad and, I think, gone under the bed. Following no success with housekeeping by phone I sent and email to the only email address I could find in my Pro-Kard login, **********
"I have just returned today from a very pleasant stay at the Protea Hotel Karridene. I have had one unfortunate mishap related to our stay, at no fault of the hotel but I do ask for assistance in this. Please would you forward this email to the General Manager of the hotel.
While at the hotel my electronics bag fell off the bed onto the floor in room 402 and the contents were spread over the floor. On returning home I have discovered that my 4 terrabyte My Passport external drive was not in my bag. I phoned on arriving home and asked housekeeping to check for it and they did reply to me that they had not found it. I know that it has to be in the room, so I ask please that somebody who knows what hard hard drive looks like does a good check for me. It is likely to have gone under the bed, which is low and close to the floor and, with the hard drive casing being black, would probably not be easily visible without either a torch or lifting the bed. As the replacement cost of the drive is R2000 and I had about 3.4 Tb of data on it, I really would appreciate you doing a further check and coming back to me on 0*********. If at that stage you are able to tell me that it is not there I will accept that I have lost it, through my own fault."
Now, 5 days later, I have heard NOTHING, not even a negative response and all I was asking for is a response. What happens to their emails?
