Nightmare stay at the Fire and Ice Cape Town

We arrived at our hotel last night after our wedding and walked into a club and not a hotel. We went to our room on the 2nd floor and found the room hot as the aircon was broken and the music blaring. When I went down stairs the manager could not help and called his GM. She arrived with a unphased attitude and asked whether or not I was informed by check in staff that they have these functions every Friday and Saturday night. Not caring about the fact that she is running a hotel and not a club and also not caring that we are unable to sleep she just went back to the office. Hands down the worst experience ever. No sleep because of loud music from the lobby and a hot room (could not even open the window because of the blaring music). Bad service and an even more shocking overnight experience. Never ever ever will I stay at any Protea hotel again, leisure or private.
