Mount Grace ... fallen from grace Spa treatment
We booked a couples massages and facial with a hydro bath accompanied by champagne ( MCC) and a cheese platter. We drove from Johannesburg for the day hoping to experience a treat. Well it was nothing of the sort. The treatment room was tacky and old and looked like it needed a good clean. The towels were worn and faded. The massages and facial were ok .. however when I asked for a sunscreen after the treatment as an exfoliation had been done and it was 33c outside I was told they don’t supply.... really and these the******s are trained! Then to what was to be the ultimate treat .. the couples bath with refreshments. The bath didn’t work properly and maintenance had to be called in .. there I was standing in a dressing gown so respectfully declined ... and went to lie at the pool to nibble on a more than disgusting cheese platter.. soggy biscuits.. chunks of now melted Dutch cheese ( think they shop at van Galen’s) garnished with unsightly thick slices of g****fruit.. clearly they had run out of fruit accompliment ideas. A totally amateurish experience! All for R4 500!!! ( they give a 20% compensatory discount)
