Excellent stay at the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch

We booked in at the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch for a 3 night stay just before Christmas for a friends wedding. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles from the reception staff. They allowed us to check-in earlier than usual but we needed to wait about 20 min for them to get our room ready. Assistance was provided with our luggage to our room. We had stayed in a Deluxe room and i must compliment how nice these rooms are. They are fully kitted for anyone's needs. We did experience a problem with our bathroom where water was leaking from the top unit into our bathroom. We then called reception and informed them about the issue. Within 5 min, someone was already at our door in order to clean the water and assess the issue. The reception then moved us to a different room (with a better view) and complimented us with a bottle of wine and apologized for the inconvenience. Throughout our stay, we received smiles from all staff and were surprised at how friendly and accommodating everyone was. Any request from us, was quickly adhered to.The premises has all the needs for an enjoyable stay, we only wished we could stay longer. Many Thanks to all.
