Don’t check in at Protea Hotel Clarens, despicable horrid service

On the 30th of December I checked in at the Protea hotel in Clarens as Prokard holder who frequently visits different Protea hotels around South Africa and therefore know the level of service to expect.

The service I received was despicable and horrid despite making the booking a week earlier.

1. I was given a below par small room with limited space. I then requested a different room and the manager on duty **** to my face saying all rooms are the same despite the fact that I have checked in numerous times before.

2. The food served at dinner was not the great standard I know Protea hotels to have. In the midst of my meal the waiter comes to inform me that I need to pay and when I requested him to put the bill onto my room he refused. I’m fed up with the lack of professionalism and the drop in standards. Not enough supervision to ensure the quality of service rendered to paying clients is of great quality.

Please don’t check in at protea hotel in Clarens, for peace of mind, they treat you as if they are doing you a favour when you check in after paying your hard earned money.
