Appalling, Unhygienic family rooms at the Protea Durbanville Hotel

My family and I were booked into the family rooms (room 216) for two nights (April 1st - April 3rd). When we arrived the service from the assistants was great, with him assisting us with our bags to the family room. However, once the family started settling in the hotel we noticed the following: 1. The hotel was not cleaned, the tiles had dust. 2. The kids started noticing long black hair from their clothes and blankets whilst sitting on the couch. 3. Both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms had long black hair on the tiles and it was worse in the bedrooms.

The following morning, the state of the hotel room was reported to the assistants at the reception of which they had promised to sort it out. Later on in the afternoon, we arrived at the hotel room and when entering in the tiles in the reception area were shinning and it smelled good however when entering the bedrooms and bathrooms there was still long black hair!!!!

The experience was appalling, unhygienic and extremely upsetting. I thus would not recommend anyone, most especially if you have kids to stay there. It is not worth your money...
