School Fees

I have worked for Prosperitas in 2009, and they fired me because my car broke down, ever since no one ever contacted me regarding my school fees, I have worked at a construction company from 2012 till 2016 and no one phoned me regarding 2006 outstanding school fees. Since my son attended school I have been struggling to pay the school fees. And ever since they keep on threatening me to put me on ITC, I have tried and contact the department of education but with no feedback at all. While I was working there they claimed that if the mother cant pay the school fees the father have to, no one ever phone the fathers to pay these fees.

Please advice on how long is school fees legal to pay.
