D5 Centurion gate motor motherboard

My D5 Centurion gate motor's motherboard became faulty. The automated gate would not open. I went to ProSafe in Springs and purchased a replacement part. The technician (not from ProSafe) installing the new motherboard could not get the gate going, even after a lengthy telephonic conversation with Centurion, the manufacturers. Centurion suggested I take back the motherboard for a replacement as it was evident that it was faulty. This was done and ProSafe obliged. The second motherboard was not programmed to close automatically. This fact was not mentioned by ProSafe when I got the unit, so I sat with a gate that did not close automatically. Quite serious. Eventually the technician supp**** a unit from his own stock which operated perfectly. I then went to ProSafe to claim back my money. Not a chance ! Their argument is that I should have asked whether the motherboard was programmed to close automatically. Only a person with hands on experience would know that such a condition could exist. Ever since I owned gate motors they closed Auto. What a rediculous situation. I am now out of pocket with R725 and nowhere to go. One spare motherboard with no use! Watch out there!
