Brilliant location within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We were warmly received and given a thorough "walk-through"! The house itself is both quirky and comfortable. Chose property due to location near start and finish of Cape Town Cycle Tour Despite confirming arrival time 3 times,concierge was 40 min late.Checked in to apartment 90 min late as there were workman on site,trying to resolve an inverter issue. The on -suite barthroom toilet,bath and shower drains filled with foul smelling sewage water. Apartment had not been cleaned and towels soiled with make-up.After carrying luggage up to the apartment and leaving cleaning services to clean the apartment we were informed by whatsapp message 2 hours later that the issue would not be resolved for 3 days.At 18h15,we were offered alternative accommodation far from the location we were required to be.For transfer of our belongings they offered to pay for an Uber!Alternatively we were offered a refund.(Where does one find accomodation for 6 at short notice,weekend of cycle tour?) The arrogance of the shift manager Llewellyn, is concerning. We declined to move to the alternative accomodation and after I insisted,a plumber was sent to try to fix the sewage problem,but was unsuccessful. Dirty towels and linen,and no duvet cover in main bedroom. Tap of washup basin in kitchen broken. Found alternative Airbnb apartment. The listing has not been removed on the Airbnb website in spite of not being guest ready. Propr were aware of the problems with inverter and plumbing and failed to warn me timeously.I regard it as deliberate and wilful.
