****** and maltreatment at Middelburg Mpumalanga branch

On the 24th of December 2020 i app**** and paid for Rental property in Middelburg Mpumalanga. I did not view, only pictures were sent and i was informed the property is newly renovated and has fresh paint, new finishes and a garage. I paid R17 150.00 rent olus deposit to property.coza account. Tne agent Sonnet Synman met with me to give me keys om tje 1st.

It was the house of horrors: no curtain rails, all windows cracked, bath tub stained and had a whole in the middle, cubboards not painted, a Wasp hive at main door, main door stuck ddnt work, no garage (just a garage door that leads to open space). I told them there and there i am canceling the contract based om a material breach. Tne contract allowed me this withing 5 days of its commencement. She told me i will get my money back. I only got 8200 which was the deposit. The rest i still do not have even today. Every time i call they lie and say we will pay end of the week. They ended up saying they gave my money to the owner and shes refusing to pay it back. Mind you mid montj tney sent me pics of the owner renovating the house.

I have tried complaining at head office i am still waiting for response. The manager at Middelburg hannelie was so rude and told me i should stop calling her every other day she has important work to do. The last i spoke to them was when they said theres nothing they can do if the owner does not want to pay my money back.

I am disappointed to say the least and i am appointing Attorneys to deal with this. Never deal with this company. Worst part i bought a house through them in 2018 and i gave them no problems
