WARNING TO ALL POTENTIAL TENANTS THAT MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN RENTING A PROPERTY THROUGH PROPERTY 24 AT NO 9 SHAMROCK STREET, FERNDALE, RANDBURG. We as a family took occupancy in October 2022, the property was advertised with a swimming pool. We were told by the Agent that repairs will start early Jan 2023. Came 27 Jan 2023 no repairs started, I then told the Agent that they are in breach of contract and 2 days later someone came and smashed a couple of holes in the pool to make it look like repairs are starting. A block was built in the middle of the pool as they decided to go smaller. Again, in breach of contract as the pool was not REPAIRED as promised. Came July (middle of winter). The block was completed but not painted or filled with water. Came the month of October 2023, my last month at this property they decided to fill the pool. It was topped up 4 times in just over a week as the pool was leaking. Today it looks like a fishpond as it is filthy green where it was confirmed the motor was not working. I am now being charged for filling the pool with water. There is a 3-phase electrical cable installation. I had to buys R1000.00 pre-paid electricity every 5 - 6 days and up and till today convinced that I carried some of the cost for the 2-bedroom flat on the property occupied by the Owner's sister. I have been asking for an electrician to verify same since December 2022 and up and till today no feedback. PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED LIKE I WAS. PROPERTY 24 AGENTS SMOOTH TALK YOU. PROMISE YOU THE SUN, MOON AND STARS AND 2 MONTHS DOWN THE PIPELINE BLOCK YOU WHEN YOU RAISE CONCERNS AS YOU ARE THEN TOLD YOU ARE BUILLYING THEM. Please do not make the same mistake we did as a family. Thought you take a house with a pool to entertain your kids. The maintenance guy Gavin that was appointed by the Agent from Property 24 (Adele Mulford) to attend to the repairs and the fixing of the pool is now MIA and does not want to meet to fix his mess. I am now hold liable for a water account to have a pool fixed that is not even operational. I AM PLEADING WITH YOU OUT THERE, IF YOU DO LOOK FOR A RENTAL - PLEASE DO NOT GO THE PROPERTY 24 ROUTE. YOU WILL BURN YOUR FINGERS LIKE I DID.
