Urgent - Unauthorized Listing of Property (in Clewer Witbank)

Dear Property24 Team,

I am writing regarding a property currently advertised on your platform at Clewer Witbank, Mpumalanga Province, Property24 listing

My father, Mndeni Simelane, passed away. The property was bonded with Standard Bank. At the time of purchase, Standard Bank was aware my mother was not employed. We understood the bond included insurance cover in the event of the bondholder’s death.

Since his passing, we contacted Standard Bank and provided all requested documents. Standard Bank has not confirmed whether the bond insurance applies. We have since requested proof that no policy/insurance exists, but after 2 years we have received no response.

The matter is now escalated to the Ombudsman for Banking Services and is still under dispute. Despite this, representatives of Law Firm entered the property and took photographs without the family’s consent or authorization. Those photos are now being used to market the property for sale on Property24.

Please note: The estate has not authorized the sale of this property. No agreement has been reached between the heirs and the attorneys, and the legal status is still unresolved. Advertising the property at this stage is premature and causes distress to the family.

I kindly request that you: 1. Immediately remove/pause the listing for Clewer house until the estate and bond insurance dispute is resolved 2. Confirm in writing once this has been done 3. Advise what documentation you require from us to prevent further unauthorized listings

I can provide a copy of the death certificate.
