Unfair to take your deposit

Outgoing inspection the last day of February. The only thing outstanding when they arrived for inspection was last vacuming and the wall where our tv was mounted (waited for the polly filler to dry).<br> The first problem they had was a burn mark on the lounge carpet. After Lynette called my wife a **** when she said the mark was there when we moved in, my wife suggested that we go accross the road and ask the previous tenant (she moved accross the road). After this remark Lynette backed off and said she will have a look at the outgoing inspection of the previous tenant.<br> The bathroom roof residue we knew was there when we moved in, but we didnt argue this fact as we didnt have proof. This was charged at R550 which we dont mind.<br> Lastly the wall. While the next tenants wasnt even there yet to move in she didnt want to give us a chance to wait for it to dry. We agreed that she will send me prices for all the repairs (roof and wall) and then wait for my go ahead. A week later I receive a payment with R3,500 deducted from our deposit! All the other walls with holes were touched up with paint. They didnt give me chance to fix anything just went and charged for total repaint! *******!
