Firstly I am sorry mr Pretorius feel the way he does.

During the viewing ( scheduled Saterdag 18:41) of the property mr Pretorius informed me that he is not in the position to pay the full deposit but only half of it.

I was willing to help him although we never allocate a property to a client without the full deposit.

Mr Pretorius completed the applicationform and submitted it without the proof of address. On his email he confirmed that he will send it to me asap.

At 7:41 on Tuesday morning I informed mr Pretorius via WhatsApp that his application is successful.

As we need the deposit and contract fee to allocate the property to him I've asked him to arrange with me on how he will be paying the deposit because he mentioned that he will only be able to pay half of it.

My reply:

Late afternoon ( 15:00 ) on Tuesday I haven't heard from mr Pretorius . The above mentioned WA conversation regarding the deposit was at 7:43 in the morning.

I had other applicants who was waiting to hear if their application was successful. As I was waiting for mr Pretorius since 7:43 the morning I decided to make contact with another applicant otherwise they will find another property and I will be left without a tenant.

Not once did mr Pretorius asked for banking details. I didn't refuse to give him a contract. The contract fee was outstanding and therefore I couldn't give him the contract.

When mr Pretorius was informed that the property was allocated to someone else, he swears at us and hung up the phone after he threatened us that he will bad mouth us wherever he goes.

As always, there's two sides of a story.
