Do not list your property or rent from Property Legends - Biggest mistake of my life

The most pathetic letting company I have ever come across. It is a Very sad as this was my first big step into the real world. I'm 19 years old and decided to rent out my first apartment and move out of my family home. This was supposed to be an exciting time of my life, but it turned out to be one of my biggest regrets. Firstly, no home owner should ever list their property with Property. I have been staying here for like four months and the roof has been leaking and damaging the home owners cupboards. The sink was leaking and they also just left that to damage the cupboards below for so long before they even bothered to do anything. Today the roof still leaks and has not been repaired. The constant defense from their side is that they are waiting on the body corporate, and if its not that then they need more quotes, and if its not that "the owner hasnt given the go ahead". That being nonsense. I investigated on the internet for a few long good hours and managed to track down the owner. The owner was aware of the issue but he thought the problems had already been sorted out! Property Legends are pathetically useless. I would rather not describe what i think of them. The owner Charles, complete oxygen theif. Has a very bad attitude towards customers and thinks that he is invincible. Their property management skills are very sad as well. I have dealt with a woman Chantelle in their office who was incredibly rude to me over the phone and tried to take it to management as she was destroying their reputation, but thats when I became in touch with the owner Charles. Charles was even worse than Chantelle. I was meant to be dealing with the agent I letted out the property from, Jonathan. But Jonathan does not bother to respond to my emails. When i requested a copy of my rental lease agreement Chantelle just hung up the phone, so i had to phone back and demand it. I requested to speak to the owner Charles again but as always Property Legends staff seem to have an excuse as to why he cannot come to the phone. I left reviews and comments on their facebook page but they did not bother respond. Property Legends are not shy to take bad light on the internet, like i said Charles (the owner) is one of those people who think that they are invincible. They recently boasted about their 32 million rand turn over on their facebook page. This baffles me due to the amount of negative reviews I have found all over the internet. Property Legends are useless and do not have the owner or the tenants best interests at heart. To conclude, I do not reccomend that anyone list their properties and investments with Property Legends. Due to the fact that they do not manage your property properly and give you updates with regards to drastic maintenance issues. Property Legends allowed this owners cupboards to have water damage for over a month now and we have been experiencing heavy rain. I also did notify Property Legends multiple times that i would take them to the rental tribunal - this made no difference to them. Another lady contacted me under an alias and told me of her very sad story with property legends and how they dont bother to show up to mediation with the rental tribunal. I guess thats Mr Charles Bailey from you, proud owner of the pathetic Property Legends Pretoria.
