Seller Beware

If you're thinking you need to save on commission for the sale of your house, don't. Or at least don't use this agency.

I should have known something was wrong when the agent, Beulah Pereira, turned up with a point and shoot camera from 1998 to take her own pictures of my property. Her out of focus, poorly shot pictures of toilets and corners of rooms didn't help sell my place so I took my own pictures for the website and ended up rewriting her description which in no way marketed my place. She initially listed the wrong values for rates and levies amongst other inaccuracies, this after taking great pains to obtain my original statements and insinuating that I might be dishonest by verbally telling her the values.

She also only planned to list my property on Property24 and no other websites, until I asked on three occasions for her to at least list on Private Property. I should add that her sales pitch suggested she would list on multiple sites and that a professional photographer would come to take pictures of my property.

I regret signing a sole mandate with this agent for three months (which is my own fault), in that time she brought exactly three people to see my property. After two months I asked her to please allow me to hire an additional agent, she dodged my messages and towards the end became rude to me. Her attitude when pitching to sell my place was enthusiastic, but the enthusiasm declined over time and in my last conversion with her she bordered on being verbally abusive with me.

You get what you pay for and now I've wasted three months in which my home could have been sold. I don't think the manner in ProperSell operates will ever help you sell your home. Think twice before hiring this agency, there are many better agencies operating in Randburg and if after reading this you still want to role the dice and use ProperSell, avoid signing a sole mandate with them.
